What information does this website collect?
Two things. If you apply for a job, we receive what you type into the application form. And like most websites, this one uses Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages people read. The site has no customer accounts, no shopping cart, and no newsletter signup. Buying a wash or membership happens on a separate site run by NXT Wash.
The careers application form
When you apply, we receive your name, phone number, email if you give one, the role you want, your availability, and anything you write in the message box. The form is handled by this website’s own server, which emails your application to us and keeps a copy on that server as a backup. We use it only to consider you for a job and to contact you about it. We do not sell it or share it with anyone outside Southtown Car Wash. If you want us to delete your application, email southtowncarwashes@gmail.com and we will.
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics to see how many people visit, which pages they read, and roughly where they come from. It sets cookies in your browser and collects information such as your device type, browser, approximate location, and the pages you visit. We see this as aggregate numbers, not as a profile of you. Google processes this data under its own privacy policy. You can opt out with Google’s browser add-on or by blocking cookies in your browser; the site works fine without them.
What happens when I buy a membership, wash book, or gift card?
You leave this website. Every “Join Unlimited”, “Buy a wash book”, “Buy a gift card”, and “Log in” button takes you to our customer portal at customerportal.nxtwash.com, which is run by NXT Wash, the company that provides our point-of-sale and membership system. Your name, contact details, license plate, and payment card are collected and stored by NXT Wash under its own privacy policy and security practices. We never see your full card number.
Your license plate number is stored so the camera at the wash can recognize your car as a member. Information you give at the cashier, including for memberships sold in person, goes into the same NXT Wash system.
Links to other sites
This site links to Google Maps for directions, to our Facebook page, and to the NXT Wash portal. Each has its own privacy policy, and we do not control what they collect.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them. The careers form is for people old enough to work here.
Changes to this policy
If we change how this site collects or uses information, we will update this page and the date at the top.
