Who owns Southtown Car Wash?
The Westendorf family. Terry Westendorf started working at this car wash at 15, for the man who owned it then, Dave Worman. In 1987 Terry bought it, and the family has run it ever since.

What has changed, and what has not
A person still touches your car before anything mechanical does. An attendant pre-washes it by hand, works on the bugs and grime a machine would miss, and guides you onto the conveyor. That was true when Terry was 15.
- The automatic has been upgraded
- Free vacuums were added
- The membership system reads your license plate, so you can join online and never stop at the cashier
This is the only car wash we have, and we intend to keep it the best one in town.
Who washes your car?
A crew of local people, many of them students, taught to work fast and do it right. Read our reviews and the same words come up: thorough, friendly, helpful, and a prewash that actually gets the car clean.
The service here is always excellent. The staff do a thorough job with the prewash and guiding you into the car wash.

Why are you closed on Sundays?
Because, as a family owned and operated business, we believe that everyone deserves time to rest and spend quality time with their families.
We made the change in June 2024, with careful consideration for our hardworking employees and the quality of product we provide to you. It got the most support of anything we have ever posted, and the crew comes in Monday rested.
